Our Story
The story of Designer Lifestyles LLC begins with our founders, Chris and Jon Mayer. After serving nine years in the US Army, Chris Mayer knew he wanted to create something that would have a lasting impact on his family and others. With a business-oriented mindset and a persistent drive, he was determined to fulfill his goals.
Jon Mayer grew up in Michigan, where he worked on construction projects with his dad. Jon moved to Florida in 2005 and began installing flooring as a subcontractor, where he began to dream of having his own family company, much like his Uncle Chris.
Eventually, this led Chris and Jon to partner together and form a business. In August 2006, they created Designer Lifestyles LLC with long-term goals and growth in mind, aiming to be the one-stop shop for all custom home construction & remodeling projects on the First Coast.
